Thanks to our friend at Feed Central, we are pleased to release a new course on Hay Safety for your farm safety program .

This interactive course provides an employee the basics to deliver, receive, move and stack hay safely and productively.

The Feed Central/SafeFarm Hay Safety course is a generic hay safety guide and is designed to be completed in addition to site-specific training provided on-site.

The Course covers a range of topics to help you safely get started including:

  • Arriving at the farm
  • Setting up exclusion zones
  • Unloading safety
  • Stacking Safety

This course will help draw your attention to some of the risks and controls when delivering/receiving and stacking hay.

Even if you’ve got Hay Safety training covered, this short course could make a great tool box talk to start a conversation around Hay and Safety on your site. Because Farm Safety Matters.

Normally $30 / enrolment, the Hay Safety Course is currently available for free.
